The good old high school years. You can recall those, right? Well, maybe unless it was all the way back in the 40s or something. Then there are those of you who are still in high school. Yeah, rock on; good times. Ah, who am I kidding? High school was never good at least not as good as wedding invitations. It was a lot of things, but good wasn’t on the list. I can still recall all the occasions that required Cliff Notes and book summaries. Not that I was cheating or trying to get by without actually reading the books, because I was. Get it? I was! I totally was! Don’t act like you never did this or don’t do it now. I’ll bet a shiny quarter that you did/do. There were just some books back in high school that you didn’t want to read. Like all of them. Okay, “Beowulf” was an exception for me. However, for all the others, I needed a shortcut.

Back in high school I practically never wanted to complete the assignments or even make diy wedding invites. Don’t get the wrong idea! I did do all the work. I just didn’t put forth the full amount of effort. You know what I mean? Ah, of course you do. There were always tests to study for and take. There was always some paper to write. It got old, and I wasn’t mature enough to take the adult initiative and put forth the best effort possible. It’s called apathy. Anyway, I went for the book summaries. These could always be discovered at the local bookstore. I purchased a lot of Cliff Notes back then. Sadly it was the first half of the 90s, so I didn’t have a computer with Internet access. Wow, would that have been nice! Then I would have simply snagged the book summaries off the web. I know that every kid in the world must do this now days. Hey, I don’t blame them. It’s a golden opportunity.

Man am I ever glad that high school is long gone. You couldn’t pay me to go back there. Well, I guess the right amount of cash or even diy wedding invitations may change my mind. Na, forget it! It’s not worth it. Those days of senior papers and book summaries are long past. However, all you young ones out there who are still stuck in the muck, more power to you. You’ll get by my friends. Indeed, you will get through it. It may call for a few online book summaries, but that’s just part of the process.
