Magic Card Tricks Anyone Can Perform – Quick Find
Magic card tricks are fun to perform and most are pretty easy to do with just a little preparation beforehand. Amaze your audience with tricks all you need is a little practice. Children can do these tricks and also wow their friends at the same time. This trick is a well known trick called the ‘Quick Find’.
Preparing yourself:
Four cards need to be removed from the deck of cards prior to commencing the trick. Use a standard poker deck of cards with fifty-two cards. Remove the red nines and the red sixes. The six of diamonds and hearts and the nine of diamond and hearts are the cards you should have taken out. Take the nine of diamonds and place it on the top of your deck and then place the six of hearts on the bottom of the deck. Make sure the cards are facing down. Keep out the six of diamonds and nine of hearts.
To get the trick moving:
Display the nine of hearts and six of diamonds for your audience while holding the deck of cards in your left hand. Now, hold out the deck of cards and ask someone from your audience to place both the nine of hearts and the six of diamonds into the deck anywhere they would like. They will shove the cards into the deck.
The grand finale:
{Holding the deck of cards in your left hand {or the right depending on which is more comfortable} , squeeze the top card and the bottom card together and toss the deck into your other hand.~Now with grace hold the deck in which ever hand is the most comfortable to you, put the deck into your other hand while squashing the top and bottom card together.~The deck will be moved from one hand to the other so begin with it in the most comfortable hand for you and with discretion as the deck moves to your other hand squish the top and bottom card together.} You can now show the cards because you have the top and bottom cards with you.
Okay, so these are not the original cards that the audience member shoved into the deck but the nine and six of hearts looks so much like the nine and six of diamonds that the audience seldom notices the difference. The success of this trick will depend on how quickly and smoothly you can perform the ‘Quick Find’ trick.
How to do the ‘Quick Find’ trick another way:
The premise of this trick is the same except for one very important detail. Rather than use the similar colored cards from the same deck in this version you will take an identical deck and steal the exact same cards putting them in the deck in your hand. One goes on the top and one goes on the bottom of the deck again all face down.
Obviously any two cards may be used in this edition of the trick. You might use the six of clubs and the nine of diamonds. Before placing these two cards like before on the deck in your hand, show the audience what cards they are. Ask your audience to place the cards lying on the table into the deck in random places. In order to make it easier and exciting you can spread out the deck on the table and let them insert the cards this way. The face of the cards cannot be seen. The exact cards that the audience put into the deck will be the ones they get back after you have pressed the cards together and shown them.
