Combine Musical Skill With Looks And Equipment For Success

Most likely, there are literally millions of men and women of a certain age hoping that they’ll become the next rock superstar. They’re out there right now practicing away and learning how to play their instrument. They’re making sacrifices to get a shot at that goal, and if you’re one of them, remember; you’re going to need equipment and looks to go with musical skill, eventually.

Perhaps the words ‘making it’ doesn’t quite explain how truly high the odds are against becoming a rock superstar, though that certainly hasn’t stopped many from trying. It’s going to take a great deal of musical skill along with the ability to connect with an audience. In fact, it requires far more than just a strobe light (also known as intense pulsed light) and playing loud to do so nowadays.

Nowadays, playing a set even in a local lounge or bar requires a bit more than just that strobe light and the ability to play loud. A stage presence means that not only is the musician and his or her instrument with the flow within the audience but it also means knowing what to do and say to keep the musical set moving along nicely.

That’s why quite a few bands and musicians are detailing even their most minor of shows right down to finding the right fashion jewelry manufacturer that can get them the kinds of rings and other accessories to go with the on-stage wardrobe or clothing that might be required. Even grunge players understand this and look long and hard for the right hand jewelry, on many occasions.

Much of this applies just as strongly to the kind of equipment that even a garage band is going to need to have to have a chance at making it. Getting a good PA system and plunking down the bucks for quality musical instruments will also be needed. For those without big bucks, finding quality and price, such as what’s available with an Epiphone electric guitar, for example, will be important.

Remember; even though one can remedy at least looks and equipment with a bit of money and some patience, if the practice hasn’t been put in, in terms of musical ability, there’s a very short lane to the back door of the club called the ‘trash heap, ‘ which is where bands and musicians that don’t practice usually end up. Make sure the the musical skill’s there, along with the looks and equipment, in other words.

Most rock gods and goddesses didn’t start out at the top of the heap, as a matter of fact. They suffered for their art and put in their time and it eventually paid off. They understood, also, that rock gods need rock god equipment and looks to go with all that talent and sweat and suffering. Work hard to try to develop not only skill and also a good stage presence and looks, to be honest.
